AB 203 from 2019 was a compromise bill requiring employers to train employees who work in areas with higher risk of exposure to Valley Fever.
Employees working in the counties of: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura; need to be trained.
The California Department of Public Health has just released a tailgate training guide, for construction employers to use to provide this training.
CALPASC members should conduct and document this training by the deadline of May 1, 2020.
