Cal/OSHA Heat Illness Prevention Regulations Update

The Cal/OSHA Standards Board approved the proposal with no amendments at their Board meeting on February 19. CALPASC's Bruce Wick spoke strongly against the proposal and cited the lack of data to back up the suggested changes.

On February 19, 2015 the Cal/OSHA Standards Board approved onerous changes to heat illness prevention regulations that will take effect May 1, 2015. 

As a service to our members we are hosting this webinar to update our members on the new changes that will include:  

  • New shade trigger temperature requirements
  • New water requirements
  • New acclimatization and heat wave requirements
  • New emergency response requirements
