Welcome to CALPASC OCIE
CALPASC Orange County, Inland Empire (OCIE) was formed in 2003 with 50 members. The OCIE Region focuses its effort on education, networking and advocacy and strives to provide its members with the tools to “…to survive and thrive…” in the construction industry. Membership has become important to local trades as an avenue to join together and speak as one voice to help direct their future and the future of this ever changing industry. The regional activities are overseen by the OCIE Regional Council leadership.
CALPASC OCIE provides many opportunities to acquire critical information and stays committed to providing quality education to its members and their employees directed to the improvement of the industry.
- Education includes: seminars, workshops, trade councils, staff councils, and website offerings.
- Trade councils include: Concrete, Plumbing, and Roofing, Human Resources.
- Staff councils include: Contract, Human Resource, and Safety.
- Young Professional's Group: Networking group of members under 35 years of age
- Peer to Peer Development: Networking with other members to discuss ideas and experiences in a casual environment.
- Annual Golf Tournament: Opportunity for trade members and affiliate members to connect.
CALPASC is intimately aware of the benefits and burdens of being a trade contractor in California and works aggressively with the Governor, the Legislature, regulatory agencies and the courts, reforming laws to eliminate the ability of parties with greater bargaining power to shift the risk of loss which reinforces safe, high quality construction.
Seminars, conferences, and social events are held throughout the year to keep our members informed and connected. Refer to the online calendar frequently and check your weekly e-mail newsletters for upcoming events.
“The direct connect we have with CALPASC insight and education keeps my team on the lead lap everyday.”
-Dave Keefe, Trilogy Plumbing Inc.
“….A few of the many benefits we receive include a subcontractor-focused legislative voice in Sacramento; staff and owner education on topics such as contract language, human resources, finance, accounting, and safety. I am convinced that CALPASC is committed to improving the business climate for all trade contractors.”
-Rick Mercier, Lucas & Mercier
