DIR Issues Regulatory Information Relative to AB 1513 and Piece Rate Pay

The California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) has issued their overview, Q & A, and sample form to comply with the various aspects of AB 1513.
CALPASC believes the DIR has not made a distinction between "hourly pay plus bonus pay plans" and "hourly pay plus piece rate pay plans". CALPASC is following up with DIR to get more clarity in response to this issue.
CALPASC members should thoroughly review the information, if they have:
1. Utilized piece rate pay systems in the past.
2. Continued to use piece rate pay systems.
3. Switched to or continued to use an hourly pay plus bonus or hourly pay plus piece rate system.
