New Labor Law Postings Required by January 1, 2015!

AB 1522, the new Paid Sick Leave law, goes into effect July 1, 2015, for accrual and taking of sick leave. The posting and notice requirements, however, take effect January 1, 2015.
- CALPASC members need to make sure they have the new posting in place by January 1, 2015. You can get a copy of the new poster here: http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSE/Publications/Paid_Sick_Days_Poster_Template_(11_2014).pdf
- CALPASC members also need to update their new hire notice for new hires January 1, 2015, and after. You must also give notice to all current employees of this change by addendum to their original notice, or a revised full notice.
